Press Release
For it’s inaugural season, the exhibition Refresh will present the work of eleven artists at the beginning of their careers. Millennials and cosmopolitans, most of them work in France, others in England, Germany or Italy.
Conceived after visiting numerous studios and residencies, in addition to solo and group exhibitions focused on the emerging field, Refresh wishes to update and broaden the landscape often delineated around the young contemporary scene. This scene is characterized by a permanent effervescence and an abundance of fluctuating and diversified proposals that are both inclusive and connected to the global artistic community. This exhibition will allow it to be propelled towards the established circuits and to obtain a new visibility clearly claimed... and largely deserved.
The often fragmented aesthetics of the selected artists reveal a desire to explore new edges, to rethink traditional materials and techniques, and to foster cross-fertilization between different disciplines. There are many points of convergence within this generation that go beyond established paradigms to operate through the union of imagination, affect and intention.
By seizing traditional skills, such as casting or foundry, by inhabiting space and playing with volumes, they express their visions through a multidisciplinary practice. These marriages of instinct and plasticity offer a place of choice to a permanent shift, as seductive as it is disconcerting, which imposes an update - a "refresh" - of our interpretations.

Célia Boulesteix (b. 1995, France) is an artist who graduated from the Duperré school in 2019. Her multidisciplinary practice explores contemporary space as a timeless, anti-monumental and intimate vector. His plastic techniques vary depending on the subject treated and are deployed at different rhythms, both specific projects which follow one another and through long-term research between photography, sculpture and installation.
Julien Heintz (b. 1997, France) is inspired by archival documentary films showcasing historical events over the 20th century. Julien Heintz’s paintings capture atmospheres from a different time, representing through a multitude of layers of pigments the blurred yet recognisable traits of anonymous human figures.
Victoire Inchauspé (b.1998, France) graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris in 2022, the same year she was named the youngest ever finalist for the Prix SAM pour l’Art contemporain with the Palais de Tokyo. In 2021, she won the Prix Sarr (an American-French prize) and the Prix Paris Photo in 2020. She has exhibited her work extensively in France, London and New York. In 2023, Victoire Inchauspé spent 6 months in one of the major residencies in the United States, Residency Unlimited (New York). In 2024, she takes part in the 17th edition of the Biennale de Lyon, curated by Alexia Fabre. She will presents her first solo show at galerie Jousse Entreprise in Paris in January 2026.
Aliha Thalien (b. 1994, France) lives and works in Seine Saint-Denis. She has a master’s degree in film from the Sorbonne and a DNSAP from the École des Beaux-Arts de Paris. In the course of these twin studies have she developed a practice of film, installation and sculpture based around language and memory. Her work has since been shown at several international film festivals and exhibitions. In 2019, she directed her first short film Feu Soleil, which was selected for the Rencontres du moyen-métrage de Brive and La Cabina in Valencia. She directed Mon amie Moïrain 2021 and in 2023 Nos Îles, which won two awards at the FID Marseille.
