There is an hour that belongs neither entirely to day nor yet to night. A deep, suspended blue, in which the world seems to hold its breath at the edge of the void. “The sun has set, yet night has not fallen. It is the blue hour...” This is a fragile moment when, for a brief pause, we reconnect with the world and with light. For this new edition, Guerlain, partner of Art Basel Paris, is reopening this invisible threshold at 68 avenue des Champs-Élysées, bringing together around thirty interna- tional artists from different generations, cultures and creative practices. The exhibition invites us to experience this moment as the Hour of Possibilities, l’Heure des Possibles.

Maison Guerlain
As part of Art Basel Paris 2026, Guerlain is writing a new chapter in an artistic book of hours. At the Maison’s iconic address at 68 Champs-Élysées, L’Heure des Possibles will unfold: a thematic exhibition bringing together works by artists from around the world.
Throughout the history of Guerlain, time has revealed itself through a myth of absolute elegance: L’Heure Bleue. An in-between, a suspended moment in which the realm of possibilities opens up. For Victor Hugo, Claude Monet and Jacques Guerlain alike, this fleeting instant held a touch of magic and reverie, when the senses awaken in the transition between day and night. A sense of mystery emerges, in which the viewer, more than ever, plays a part. Heightened and inten- sified, perception reveals a new sensory world. In this suspended moment, the colour conceived by theorists such as Goethe, Chevreul and Itten as infinite reveals new dimensions, enriched by fresh vibrations.
Between dream and reality
The light changes, transforms. The boundaries of reality become blurred, merging into one another. Perception shifts, time is suspended, and the viewer vibrates in response to these new sensations, immersing themselves in a sensory experience.
Suspended time and reconnection
With its distinctive light, the blue hour acts upon the senses, altering our perception of the surrounding environment. This moment of stillness and suspension allows us to return to what is essential and to rediscover ourselves in a different light.
A point of transition
This temporal in-between embodies a transition between two worlds that meet and briefly merge before sinking into darkness. In a world of mystery, where the visible meets the invisible, dreams become a bold force for action.
In 2026, Guerlain introduces a new L’Heure Bleue fragrance and, in a magical echo of the present moment, the exhibition L’Heure des Possibles celebrates every facet of this fleeting moment, when daylight fades and becomes enveloped in a distinctive colour. Where the boundaries between dream and reality disappear, light and colour envelop the many forms of a moment brought to a standstill, suspended and captured in a photo- graph, a painting, a play of light...
